We first discover the jangles in Thailand were we lived in the jungle on koh Phangan Island. There were many other creatures whom we lived with us especially snakes, of which we had to be very careful not scare them otherwise they would attack and bite us leading to extreme illness or sudden death, we would only ever be bear foot trekking so we needed to come up with an idea that would warn the snakes and other creatures that we were coming so as not to scared them. One day I heard my partner jangling and as I looked down to explore were this sound was coming from I saw a simple peace of leather braded and attached were a couple of bells,,, "genius" I said "what a great way to let the snakes know were coming".

Thailand History on the jangles >The bells were originally warn by women whom were married or engaged to be, the purpose was to let monks and other men know of a women’s martial status.

The jangles have become very popular not just for warning of snakes hehehe but also for dancing and decoration.
